Do I need to buy any kind of materials for this program?

You will need a few of the basic arts and crafts stuff so that you can properly complete the assignments. You'll be able to re-use these, once you get to the college or university of your dreams. We will provide a list as soon as possible.

Yeah, definitely!! This course is designed especially for you. It sure does help if you have an interest in Art & Design but if you don't, leave it up to us to get you interested!

Well, that is really up to you. There are 20 assignments in the course which range from small assignment (+-2 hours) to large assignments (+- full day). We would advise you to take the time to really think through the things you are going to do. But then again, we don't have any grasp on how creativity comes to you. If you're gonna rush through everything, that is your choice.

I'm not looking at applying to an Art & Design school, can I still participate?"

Sure, why not? So the entire course is built to get you inspired and geared up with a kick-ass portfolio for your application. But you can also just build a porfolio and get your creativity stimulated using our online course. I would maybe skip some of the courses at the end of chapter 3 where we talk about the application process and writing the application essay. But hey, even then, why not give that a shot too!

How many portfolio items are we going to create in this program?

Now, that's is a great question! So, this course is all about building your portfolio and creating pieces that you can proudly demonstrate and talk about during your admission. You will be making approximately 20 different items that will all have the potential of being added to your portfolio, that is, if you put in the right amount of effort ;)

Of course not, I am not either. The course itself is in English. But to make sure you all understand well, there are added English subtitles. To make it even better, we have translated the subtitles in all of the different languages you can think of. Is your native language not yet available? Nope. We are not affiliated to any specific school, we are just passionate about art & design and have attended one of those schools and decided to share our passion for these subjects with others.

So that is an interesting one. For starters, make sure you apply to several schools, do not put all your eggs in one basket! I repeat, apply to many different Art & Design schools, you always always always, need to have a back-up plan. Now, this course will definitely help increase your chances to get in, but we cannot make any guarantees.

Is this program aimed at getting into a specific school or is it useful for all of the different type of Art & Design schools?

We get this question all the time. So, when we designed the course we had a look at many different admission requirements from Art & Design schools all over the world. We then looked at similarities and were able to draw a common baseline of the things needed to get into these schools. You will see that practically every school will need some form of portfolio. This could be anywhere from from 3 to 20 different items you would have to show and most of them will require some type of interview or motivation process. So these are the things we decided to focus on too, isn't that a charming coincidence :)

Do I have to download any videos or is it all streamed online ?

You won't have to download anything except for maybe some PDF's at some point with recaps on the stuff we're teaching, but for the rest, it is all online.

Are all of the assignments to be completed Online or should I make real stuff too ?

Oooh, so for all you people out there: Online is real stuff okay! There is a lot of really nice art and design that is solely based for online viewing and enjoying. But, most of the assignments in this course are supposed to be made Offline. You will be expected to experiment with different materials and use your hands to get stuff going. We will ask you to upload some assignments or at least pictures of it, but it is in no way mandatory.
